What you'll accomplish
By the end of this guide, you'll have an automated text message going to patients within an hour of their appointment — asking how their visit went and, if they're happy, prompting them to leave a Google review. This runs completely on its own once configured. No phone calls, no manual follow-up, no staff time.
What you'll need
Before you configure Weave, you need a direct link to your Google review page.
g.page/[yourpracticename]/reviewWhat you should see: A short URL you can paste in a text message that takes patients directly to the Google review form.
What you should see: A section for configuring automated messages that go out after appointments.
Troubleshooting: Weave's interface changes with updates — if you can't find "Follow-Up Messages," try searching "follow-up" in the settings search bar or contact Weave support to ask where this feature lives in your current plan.
What you should see: A configuration panel for the message content and timing.
Click the message template field and write something like:
Hi [patient first name]! Thanks for visiting [Practice Name] today. We hope your visit went well! If you have a moment, we'd love to hear your feedback: [Google review link]
Questions about your visit? Reply here or call us at [phone number]. — The [Practice Name] Team
